The dark medieval MMORPG The Black Death received a new update. Providence allows you to go treasure hunting and keep animals.
The Black Death offers a sandbox where survival is the order of the day. The plague spreads everywhere, everyone fights for survival, and yet each player has the freedom to do what they want. For example, they can keep animals to secure food. This feature has now been introduced in the MMORPG with the new Providence update. You are allowed to feed animals to tame them and collect food like milk or eggs from them. You can also get feathers or wool from them, which you can further process. However, you should regularly feed the animals, or they will die on you.
Dig for hidden treasures!
Additionally, you are now allowed to search for buried treasures in the game. With a shovel, you search for randomly distributed mound-like earth heaps. There, you can also snag randomly generated loot. The world of Mercia now feels much more alive. NPCs are conversing with you, giving you tips and hints, and merchants are advertising their goods with voice output.
Chatty NPCs, dangerous forests, and a new village
New merchants have been introduced, including food merchants, military goods traders, and toolmakers. There, you can buy a lot of interesting goods like weapons or food, which will help you survive longer in the brutal game world. New skills and new items have also made their way into the MMO.
Additionally, you explore the village of Dunstead, where you can trade a lot, and the dangerous forest of Queen’s Province. Many animals that you can hunt reside there. However, bandits have also set up camp there, so any journey through the forest is fraught with danger.
To enrich the background story of the game world and provide something for lore enthusiasts, player-written books will be introduced, which you can read in the game. The first one is “The Heretic Part I” by Syrnevar Blackheart, Lord of the Blackmist Marsh. Additionally, the update addresses bugs and balancing issues.
