Even after years, WoW streamer Asmongold is not bored. The reason for this is simple.
Anyone who has played World of Warcraft for many years reaches a point where they are practically “burned out.” However, streamer Asmongold does not feel this way. He has been a loyal fan of WoW for years. Even if he has some complaints, he still sticks to the game.
That’s why he is never bored: In a stream, Asmongold explained why he “does not burn out” and always finds fun in World of Warcraft. This is because he can engage with many different types of content. He said:
WoW has so many different things I can do in the game. Even if one thing in the game bores me, I can just do something else. (…) Let’s just say that PvP bores me. Then I will participate in raids. If raids bore me, then I will do Mythic+. If that bores me, I will do world quests. If I get bored with that too, I will level a new character.
There are so many different types of gameplay in WoW that I never “really” burn out. I just switch from one type of play to another.
Viewers respond critically: Asmongold’s statement was met with mixed reactions from viewers of the stream. Some stated in the chat that they felt similarly and were always discovering something new that brought them joy in WoW. Others criticized Asmongold because he had said only a few months ago that there was “nothing fun left to do in WoW”. However, the fact that he still remains with the game seems to show that he was mistaken.

WoW has more than a decade of content: One of the great secrets of World of Warcraft’s ongoing success must be the sheer size of the game. With the now seventh expansion of the game, WoW has so much content that even hardcore veterans would find it difficult to have achieved everything.
What keeps you after years still playing World of Warcraft? Do you do it like Asmongold and just change your focus when a type of content becomes boring? Or do you turn your back on WoW?
