Although Twitch streamer xQc repeatedly made it clear that he has no interest in Lost Ark, he gets asked about it time and again. He recently expressed his annoyance as to why he believes the hype around the MMORPG on Twitch will quickly fade away.
Why does this topic annoy him so much? xQc usually streams gameplay from the role-playing server in GTA Online. However, the big hype on Twitch revolves around the new MMORPG Lost Ark, which celebrated its free-to-play release on February 11.
The release was extremely successful. All of Europe is playing the new MMORPG Lost Ark, it is only banned in 2 neighboring countries of Germany.
However, his angry demeanor seems to bother his followers little. Rather, he has become one of the biggest Twitch streamers.
He has over 9.9 million followers, and on average, around 100,000 people watch him while streaming (via twitchmetrics).
Recently, he was trolled by his fans for spending too much time on the GTA role-playing server.
xQc’s fans asked the top streamer if he would take a look at the game and why he, as one of the biggest Twitch streamers, wouldn’t just join the trend.
This increasingly annoys him, and he emphasizes that he will not play Lost Ark. That is no longer his kind of game and too “grindy”. However, the questions do not seem to stop, and some of his viewers are even trolling him with it.
This has led the hot-tempered streamer to make an angry statement about Lost Ark.
“Can’t wait for your Lost Ark streamers to give up…”
During a live stream, a donor wrote to annoy xQc that he had fallen behind the competition because he does not play Lost Ark.
This did not go down well with the streamer, who shot back:
I can’t wait for all of your Lost Ark streamers, who are so dedicated to grinding, to struggle and hold on… and then all give up the game and streaming for the next six months.
He himself does not believe that Lost Ark can maintain the hype on Twitch in the coming months. Once the Twitch drops disappear, many streamers will have no reason to continue playing.
When another donor suggested that Lost Ark is simply “too complex and vast” for him, he became very clear: “Complex? Dude, it’s a damn, freaking, Korean top-down MMO with pay-to-win.”
Moreover, he is annoyed about players who always have to defend their games. “What is this nonsense of apologists for a crappy trash game going on here?”
His opinion on the MMORPG is now very clear to everyone. Whether this keeps his viewers from prodding him with the Lost Ark stick remains rather unlikely.
The success of Lost Ark is certainly undeniable. In the first week, the servers had massive problems, especially in Europe.
Streamers who are usually known for other games also benefit from it. One example is the WoW streamer Asmongold, who broke his previous viewer records with the MMORPG.
Recently, he commented on another topic in Lost Ark: Are the women in Lost Ark too sexy? Asmongold says: “Oh, just be quiet.”
