On October 8, the beta for CoD Black Ops Cold War started and pre-order players on PS4 were already able to play. How do you find the beta test so far?
What is being tested? For CoD Cold War, the heat phase begins in October. Fans can look forward to a total of 4 waves of beta tests during which they can test the new shooter. The first wave already took place on October 8 and 9.
Compared to the open alpha of Cold War, there were a number of adjustments, as well as new content:
- New Map “Cartel” – A map in the jungles of Nicaragua
- VIP Escort: 6vs6 mode where one player is the VIP.
- 12vs12 Combined Arms – Assault: You fight in a large team for a moving objective.
- Firearms: The ground war variant of Cold War – a large 40vs40 battle, Mode: Dirty Bomb
- There will be a level system and you can earn XP
- You can also unlock your first weapon blueprint for Cold War

How can I participate? So far, only pre-order players on PS4 have been able to test the shooter. If you want to try the beta of CoD Cold War, you can use the following options:
- October 10 – 12 – Ends at 7 PM
- Only on PS4, but all players with PS Plus have access
- October 15 – 16 – Starts at 7 PM
- Access for PS4 players with PS Plus and pre-orderers on PC and Xbox
- October 17 – 19 – Ends at 7 PM
- This is the open beta phase for everyone
So you can either pre-order and test early or wait until the beta is open to everyone on October 17.
