World of Warcraft Classic will soon be ending its beta. The testing phase has come to an end, and it is moving towards release.
In the meantime, the closed beta of World of Warcraft Classic has been accessible to testers for a few weeks, and Blizzard has concluded that enough testing has been done.
When does the beta close? The final day of the closed beta for WoW Classic is July 12, 2019. After that, the servers will be shut down and will no longer be accessible to testers.
What has been achieved during the beta? Overall, Blizzard has received more than 17,000 bug reports from players during the closed beta, allowing developers to reproduce, identify, and ultimately fix hundreds of bugs.
Small farewell event: On July 12, the developers plan to host a small in-game event to appropriately celebrate the end of the beta. Exact details have not yet been revealed. However, based on previous beta closures, there will likely be plenty of demons and bosses raining down on the cities.
A big stress test is still to come: However, even after the official end of the beta, there will be another stress test. On July 25 and 26, Blizzard wants to test the hardware that will be used in the individual regions. This means that the European server structures are likely to be tested there as well. German servers are not expected for the stress test – but they are confirmed for launch.
When does WoW Classic release? The official release of WoW Classic will take place in less than two months, on August 27. The game does not need to be purchased separately. Anyone who already has a subscription for the “normal” World of Warcraft can simply join in.
Are you using the last days of the beta to play Classic a lot? Or are you already counting the days until the official release?
