The beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has a date, breaking a tradition for the first time

Before the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, players can once again test how good the game is in a beta. Activision has now revealed the date when the beta will take place. And for the first time in a long time, all players can join simultaneously.

When will the beta take place? The beta for Black Ops 6 is split into two weekends:

• Early Access Beta: August 30, 2024, at 7:00 PM to September 4, 2024, at 7:00 PM
• Open Beta: September 6, 2024, at 7:00 PM to September 9, 2024, at 7:00 PM

Who can participate? With the Early Access Beta, the CoD series breaks a long-standing tradition. Since Black Ops 3 in 2015, PlayStation players had received early access to every beta. As Activision is now part of Microsoft, this preference no longer exists.

Therefore, all players who pre-order the game can participate in the Early Access Beta, regardless of their platform. Additionally, Game Pass subscribers now have the advantage of being able to preview the game early. The Open Beta, on the other hand, is available to all interested parties.

What do we know about the release of Black Ops 6? CoD: Black Ops 6 is set to be released on October 25, 2024, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC. As a first-party title from Microsoft, the game will launch with availability in Game Pass.

At launch, Black Ops 6 will feature a total of 16 multiplayer maps, including twelve 6vs6 maps and four deployment maps where 2vs2 or 6vs6 can be played.
