The Road-to-the-Final event is currently running in FIFA 20 with many new RTTF cards. We show you which cards are actually on the way to the final and thereby become better and more valuable.
As in the previous year, the RTTF cards become stronger the further the player’s club progresses in the Champions League. For every milestone, the card increases by one point in the overall rating.
This is how the cards increase:
- Qualification for the knockout stage
- Winning the first knockout match
- Reaching the quarter-finals
- Reaching the semi-finals
- Participation in the final
- Winning the Champions League
Thus, an 89-rated Sadio Mane, should Liverpool reach the Champions League final for the third time in a row, could become an extremely strong card with a 95-rated.
How do the prices of the RTTF cards behave? Last year, the prices of the RTTF cards caused quite a chaos in the transfer market. Because the prices of these cards are anything but stable. It is therefore difficult to predict how they will develop.
What is clear, however, is that the top cards from top clubs will probably rise as long as the clubs are represented in the Champions League.
However, it can also happen very quickly that a card loses more than half of its value if the club is eliminated from the competition.
You should invest in these cards
Why are these cards interesting? The following RTTF cards are interesting because it is already almost certain that some of them will receive an upgrade. The clubs are already with one foot in the round of 16.
However, it should be noted that there is no guarantee for an upgrade. In football, anything can happen, and a team can quickly and unexpectedly be eliminated from the tournament.
These clubs are almost through: Currently, Paris, Bayern, Manchester City, Juventus Turin and Liverpool are already almost in the round of 16 of the Champions League. However, Tottenham, Real Madrid, and Napoli also have very good chances of advancing.
Therefore, these RTTF cards are likely to receive at least one upgrade:
- Mane – FC Liverpool
- Dybala – Juventus Turin
- Son – Tottenham Hotspur
- Allan – Napoli
- Coman – FC Bayern
- Mahrez – Manchester City
- Eder Militao – Real Madrid
A short-term investment could already pay off. After the upgrade, you can sell the players again for a profit.
These players could become really strong
Heung-Min Son – Tottenham: The Korean currently has the most expensive RTTF card in FUT 20. This costs about 1.7 million coins on PlayStation 4. This is partly due to the base strength of 88 and the fantastic stats of this card. And on the other hand, also due to the potential, as Son was in the Champions League final with Tottenham last season.
This year, Tottenham is struggling a bit, but they are already expected to reach the quarter-finals. This would turn the 88-rated card into a strong 91-rated card.
Paulo Dybala – Juventus Turin: The Argentinian starts with a very strong and expensive 89-rated card in the event. If he reaches the Champions League final, Dybala could receive a 94-rated card. That would then be an absolute endgame card. Only TOTY or TOTS cards could compete with that.
This card could look like this:
Sadio Mane – FC Liverpool: The FC Liverpool can be expected to achieve quite a lot this season as well. Even reaching the Champions League final seems likely.
In this case, Mane would have an incredibly strong card with a total rating of 95.
Kingsley Coman – FC Bayern: The player from FC Bayern is already due for his first upgrade soon, as reaching the round of 16 seems certain. Should Bayern make it to the quarter-finals, Coman will even receive an upgrade to an overall rating of 89.
Ousmane Dembele – FC Barcelona: The French winger from FC Barcelona has received a really strong RTTF card with the event. Especially the 5-star weak foot and skill moves make the card extremely dangerous. Moreover, it should receive a few more upgrades.
Eder Militao – Real Madrid : Should Madrid be eliminated in the quarter-finals this year, Militao would still have a very strong RTTF card. This would then have an 88 overall rating and should be a sought-after CB card.
