9. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
With Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, this year released the second part of the “Final Fantasy VII” remake, which is planned to appear in three games. The remake tells the story of the RPG classic in an adapted version but follows the story of the original. However, fans of the game should expect some deviations due to it being a retelling.
After escaping the dystopian city of Midgar in the first part, the heroes Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Aerith, and Red XIII travel through the world of Gaia. Together, they search for Sephiroth, a presumed dead swordsman from Cloud’s past, who is seeking revenge.

+you love beautiful cinematic scenes
+you enjoy fast-paced battles
Unlike in the first part, you no longer move through just one city and fight your way through longer, almost linear levels. Instead, you travel from one expansive mini open world to another, getting to know many different places with varied challenges.
8. Tetris Effect: Connected
Tetris is a legendary puzzle game that emerged in the 1980s and has delighted many generations across many consoles since then. Hardly any game has been copied as often as Tetris. The game principle is quite simple: various blocks “fall” down the screen and must be skillfully combined to make them disappear.
Tetris Effect is the latest development of this game and offers additional gameplay elements and audiovisual effects. Through the “zones” mechanics, for example, multiple blocks can be placed at once.
+you are fans of classic puzzle games
+you have the PlayStation VR headset at home (but it also works without)
+you simply want the pure nostalgia factor
With a meta-level system, you can unlock further challenges and various bonuses in Tetris Effect. Our colleagues from GamePro describe Tetris Effect as the best Tetris experience to date. You can find their whole opinion on the puzzle game here.
7. Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 4 is another remake that has made it onto this list. This game has brought the legendary survival horror from 2005 to modern standards in terms of graphics and technology. This excited many fans of the genre and the “Resident Evil” series.
The developers promise that even fans of the original will still be surprised by this version. Because it not only offers enhanced graphics and improved controls but also a restructured story.

+you enjoy good action horror
