The best Pokémon GO player in the world, Brandon Tan, has been banned by Niantic. The player with over 600 million XP has repeatedly violated the regulations, according to Niantic, and has now been suspended.
On Saturday morning, Brandon Tan informed his community on Twitter that he has now been banned in Pokémon GO. He posted a screenshot of the ban notification for his account.
Why was he banned? Neither Niantic nor Brandon himself provided reasons for the 30-day ban.
However, Brandon Tan has publicly stated multiple times that he owns several accounts and catches legendary Pokémon for money for other trainers.
Brandon Tan offers catching service
Brandon Tan utilized the legendary Pokémon in raids to make money. He offers a catching service for every raid boss.
How does it work? A trainer gives Brandon his account details and transfers him a certain sum of money. This can even amount to several hundred dollars. In return, Brandon Tan catches a certain number of legendary Pokémon or guarantees that at least one Pokémon with good IV is included.
Niantic is apparently not in agreement with this business model. Because it violates the game’s policies. Niantic recently explained why and for what reasons one can be banned in Pokémon GO
Multiple accounts: Another possible reason why Brandon was suspended could be his many accounts. Because they also violate Niantic’s policies. Brandon never made a secret of the fact that he owns several accounts and plays with all of them. He made this public.
Will he get his account back?
On Saturday night, Brandon continued reporting. He will definitely not get his account back for at least 30 days. This is a period during which Niantic has also banned spoofers. This is considered a “final warning” to the player.
Brandon Tan left it open whether he will still be motivated to continue playing in 30 days. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for Pokémon GO so you don’t miss any news on this and other topics.
