There are still a few weeks until the release of Diablo 4 on June 6. However, players have already discovered the best helmet in the game during a developer stream – an absolute skill monster.
The helmet is a new version of the ‘Harlequin Crest’. This item was already very powerful in Diablo 2, and the version for Diablo 4 seems to top that.

The helmet was discovered during a live stream of the developers, along with other previously unknown unique items. If you want to examine more such items, you can find some on the Twitter account of Diablo expert ‘wudijo’. Overall, he shows 8 items with English descriptions:
The definite highlight is the Harlequin Crest. Wudijo believes that if one doesn’t really need another helmet for their specific build, then they want this piece.
The stats speak for themselves. The item shown in the stream comes with the following bonuses:
- +1,000 health
- 9.6% cooldown reduction
- 11.5% resource restoration
- +20 to all attributes
- 20% damage reduction
- +4 ranks for all skills
Even the top stats leave a strong impression. But the last one is likely to excite many players: the helmet gives 4 ranks for each skill, leveling them almost to the ‘normal’ maximum (+5). Smaller skills with only 3 ranks go directly beyond the standard value.
Currently, it is believed that a maximum of +18 points is possible here.
What do players say about this? Reddit has also already discovered the helmet. A thread on the topic gathered almost 1,000 upvotes and over 400 comments (via reddit.com).
Most comments admire the pure beauty of the stats combination. While it cannot yet be said how strong the stats will be in comparison to stats at level 100, many assume that it is the best helmet in the game based solely on skill ranks.
One person writes: ‘Is it just me or is this [item] a must for all classes?’.
In addition, the appearance of the helmet also receives a lot of attention. The Harlequin Crest is a unique item that is already available in Diablo 2 (via diablo.fandom.com).
However, back then it was an ugly cap, one user says: ‘Cool! I’ll never have to look like a cabbage farmer on my way to the market again’.
