This is what the device offers: Dell announced a refresh of its Alienware devices at CES 2021. Inside, it still features a 10th-generation Intel processor, while Dell now optionally offers a RTX 3060, 3070, or 3080 for the graphics chips.
The 15.6-inch laptop optionally relies on a Full HD (LCD) display with 300 Hz or a 4K OLED display with 60 Hz.
Compared to the predecessor models, Dell has also revised the cooling system, which is supposed to better manage the heat generation of the gaming laptop.
How much does the device weigh? The weight of the device is said to be between 2.11 and 2.5 kilograms, depending on the configuration.
Price and release date: The devices are expected to be available in the USA by the end of January. Whether they will also come to Europe is still unknown. The price is also unclear.
Schenker XMG Pro and Neo 2021
This is what the devices offer: Schenker Technologies introduced two gaming notebooks at CES 2021: the XMG Pro and the XMG Neo. Both devices are available in both a 15-inch and a 17-inch variant.
Both devices are equipped with a mobile GeForce RTX 3000. While the Pro models are equipped with Intel processors, buyers of the Neo series can also choose Ryzen processors. Furthermore, you can choose between Full HD with 240 Hz and WQHD with 165 Hz.
How much do the devices weigh? The Neo models weigh between 2.1 kg (Neo 15) and 2.5 kg (Neo 17). The Pro models weigh between 1.9 kg (Pro 15) and 2.3 kg (Pro 17).
Price and release date: The Neo models are expected to be available at the end of March. Prices start at 1699 euros (15 inches) or 1749 euros (17 inches).
The Pro models are expected to be available a little earlier than the Neo models, with prices starting at 1949 euros (15 inches) or 1979 euros (17 inches).
Asus ROG Flow X13
This is what the device offers: The Asus ROG Flow X13 is the smallest model on the leaderboard, as it only has a 13.4-inch resolution.
As a buyer, you can choose between a Full HD display with 120 Hz or a 4K display with 60 Hz for the Flow X13.
What is special about it? The laptop itself is equipped in its best configuration with an AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS CPU and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650. This is enough for high details in most gaming titles.
However, it also comes with a portable external graphics card that is very slim. According to Heise.de, the eGPU is not much larger than two stacked DVD cases.
The laptop has its own eGPU connector, allowing the external graphics card to be connected directly to the laptop. This significantly increases bandwidth compared to a Thunderbolt connection.
How much does the device weigh? The Asus ROG Flow X13 is said to weigh 1.3 kg. The external graphics card (ROG XG Mobile eGPU) is said to weigh 1 kg.
Price and release date: The ROG Flow X13 is expected to be available from February 2021 and is expected to start at €1,500.
