Who is this game worth it for? Football Manager is basically the nerdy brother of FIFA. Developer Sports Interactive clearly focuses on realism and offers you countless opportunities to manage your team down to the smallest detail.
Besides the actual matches, you also take care of transfers, training, PR… or you can leave the tedious tasks to your digital employees and focus only on the parts that you really enjoy.
Football Manager 2023 is therefore just right for football fans who like to micro-manage and come up with elaborate strategies. On the other hand, those who value quick action and polished graphics are probably better off with FIFA.
How good is the game? On Steam, Football Manager 2023 has a total of 87% positive ratings, ranking second among the highest-rated football games, just behind Pro Soccer Online with 92%. Of the recent reviews, FM can convince in 91% of the cases.
