Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is already out and soon Warzone 2 will see the light of day. Since the shooter series has many titles, we asked you which CoD is the best and your answer was clear.
Which CoD is the most popular on MeinMMO? On November 7th, we launched a survey on MeinMMO regarding CoD. In this, we asked you, our community, which CoD is your favorite. For this, we listed every known shooter title from the franchise and gave you three votes.
Now that CoD: Warzone 2 is coming tomorrow, we have evaluated your votes and found the following results. Your favorite shooter title is Modern Warfare 2 from 2009. However, this is not your only favorite. We will show you the three best and worst titles that you have chosen.

The 3 best and worst CoDs
Each reader received three votes from us, as the agony of choice is not easy to bear and usually, one has multiple favorite titles that they will never forget. The top 3 of the most popular CoDs on MeinMMO are (as of November 15, 2022):
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) with 558 votes
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007) with 356 votes
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) with 281 votes
What stands out here is especially that all old installments of the “Modern Warfare” series have the most votes. They were able to offer you more of what you desire from a shooter. Engaging story, smooth PvP, and clear menus.
Now let’s move on to the poorly rated titles of CoD. These include (as of November 15, 2022):
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016) with 23 votes
- Call of Duty 3 (2006) with 20 votes
- Call of Duty: Vanguard (2021) with 15 votes
Those who look at the following results more closely will notice a clear statement. Our readers definitely do not like World War II scenarios, nor futuristic shooters with flying soldiers. We believe it has to do with the setting of the individual games.
Modern Warfare and other titles of the MW series basically show what a war-like conflict could look like in our time. It is therefore very realistic, and this resonates with the community in conjunction with an engaging story and clear PvP.
