The best perks for PvE content: The Aether Doctor has a lower rate of fire than the Outsider, but deals a little more damage with each bullet. The recommendations for the perks differ only slightly; you should also focus on stability and increasing damage output for the Aether Doctor:
- Sight – Monarch Sight K1, Twilight Sight D1, Twilight Point D1
- Magazine – Alloy Magazine, High Caliber Rounds, Extended Mag
- Perk 1 – Zen Moment
- Perk 2 – Rampage, Explosive Rounding
The alloy magazine increases your reload speed as long as your magazine has been completely emptied. If you’re like me, a notorious reloader who constantly presses the reload button, the high-caliber rounds can be especially benefitting that stagger enemy targets.
For the perks, Zen Moment is again at the top of the list, and for the second attribute, Rampage is the perfect choice.
The best perks for PvP content: In the Crucible, stability and range must be improved; otherwise, you won’t even hit a barn door with this weapon. Generally, this weapon is not recommended for the Crucible. However, if you still want to give it a try, you should look for the following attributes:
- Sight – Monarch Sight K1, Twilight Sight D1, Twilight Point D1
- Magazine – Ricochet Rounds, Extended Mag
- Perk 1 – Tap the Trigger, Dynamic Recoil Direction, Zen Moment
- Perk 2 – Under Pressure, Whoosh!
With the combination of “Under Pressure” and “Tap the Trigger,” you have corresponding bonuses to your stability and handling almost throughout the magazine.
