Crunchyroll has been celebrating the Anime Awards every year since 2017. This event awards the best animes and individuals associated with them. One anime has won particularly many awards, leaving hits like One Piece and Attack on Titan behind.
Which anime has skyrocketed? We are talking about Jujutsu Kaisen. Last year, the 2nd season of the anime started and amazed many fans with its well-animated, action-packed fights.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has not only been crowned Anime of the Year, but it has also won 10 additional awards in the following categories (via Crunchyroll):
- Best Character Design
- Best New Series
- Best Opening
- Best Ending
- Best Direction
- Best Supporting Character
- Best Action
- Best Acting (JP)
- Best Acting (FR)
- Best Acting (PT)
With a total of 11 awards, the anime has catapulted itself to the top of the awarded prizes. It is especially surprising that well-known animes like One Piece and Demon Slayer landed in the lower ranks.
Maybe One Piece will have more luck next year. After all, the Egghead Arc has started this year:

How did One Piece and Attack on Titan perform? In the following positions, Chainsaw Man comes in with 6 awards and Demon Slayer with 3 awards. Only then do One Piece and Attack on Titan follow, each receiving 2 accolades.
One Piece secured the categories “Best Ongoing Series” and “Best Main Character,” while Attack on Titan excelled in the categories “Best Soundtrack” and “Best Drama.”
Other animes that received 1 or 2 awards include:
- Spy X Family (Best “Must Protect” Character, Best Comedy)
- Buddy Daddies (Best Original Anime)
- Bocchi the Rock! (Best New Series)
- Suzume (Best Film)
- Oshi no Ko (Best Anime Song)

- Dr. Stone (Best Acting (AR))
The animes that received an award were determined both by fans around the world and by a global expert jury. Thus, the awards reflect the general opinion of all anime viewers.
We can be curious which animes will be awarded at the next award ceremony. In 2024, there are exciting candidates like Solo Leveling or Kaiju No. 8.
