What kind of game is this? Warframe is a fast-paced Free2Play shooter that was released in 2013 and has been continuously expanded and improved since then. In the game, you control Warframes, biomechanical battle suits that allow you to take on various classes.
- You experience adventures in PvE instances with up to four players.
- Each Warframe has special abilities, including fire weapons, resurrecting the undead, or particularly quick attacks.
- The focus is on loot, as there are constantly new and useful items.
- You can expect numerous large worlds to explore, which are vastly different from one another.
- PVP battles, which, however, do not receive as much attention as PvE and are ignored by a large part of the community. Therefore, it can take longer to find a match.

What has happened recently? Just in October 2024, the latest content update for Warframe, titled Koumei & the Five Fates, was released. It features the Shrine Defense game mode, five new Incarnon weapons, numerous Warframe changes, user experience improvements, and the companion overhaul 2.0.
But that’s not all for 2024. In December, Warframe 1999 was released as the next update across all platforms. Thanks to the in-game demo, interested players were able to get a sneak peek at the new romances, for example. Who is Warframe interesting for? Warframe is ideal for all players who love co-op action and enjoy wild space battles. Because Warframe is ideally played together with friends. The action-packed fights are particularly impressive.
However, expect a significant amount of grind if you want to have good and especially cool-looking equipment. The entry can also be somewhat clunky because there is much to learn, but it is poorly explained.
