What happened? On your way north from the destroyed village, you early encounter a group of gnolls that make your life difficult. The fight against them is definitely a challenge. But a player cleverly used their bard to turn the situation to their advantage. He sneaked up to the gnolls with the bard and started a conversation with the leader of the gnolls.
In this conversation, he chose a special bard option. He inserted a distracting joke into the thoughts of the gnoll leader: “What separates humans from flesh?” Her grim gaze was tinged with a trace of curious confusion.
At this critical moment, the bard again resorted to his abilities. He broke the spell of the joke by delivering the punchline: “There is no difference!” For this, he had to succeed in a performance check.
