The mangaka of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda, once again answered questions from some fans. He reported on an event that will never be seen in the anime. It turns out that a pirate was portrayed completely incorrectly.
What event is it about? A reader of the manga wanted to know how Eustass Kid, a pirate of the Worst Generation, stole Big Mom’s Road Poneglyph. Once a person has the information of all 4 Road Poneglyphs, they automatically know where the great treasure, the One Piece, is.
Eiichiro Oda answered the question in SBS number 111 (a Q&A section within the 111th volume of the manga), as it was neither shown in the manga nor in the anime (via newwworldartur on X):
Kid attacked a ship of the Big Mom pirates and beat up Sweet Commander Charlotte Snack. Snack begged for his life, so Kid asked in return to get a copy of the Road Poneglyph before he said goodbye. That’s really all there is to it.
Kid got the information by attacking a family member of Big Mom. However, as Oda further explains, the event is portrayed quite differently in the anime and manga. Thus, the pirate of the Worst Generation suffers from a great lie.

What kind of lie is this? As Kid leaves the scene, the rumor spreads that he ran away from Big Mom. In truth, he fulfilled his goal by obtaining the information about the Road Poneglyph. However, the world of Blue Planet was told that he was a great coward.
Because this event was never shown in the manga and anime, the viewer does not know that Kid has to live under this lie. Unfortunately, there are more such events that are part of the story but will never be shown.
What happened to Kid next? By now, Eustass Kid’s pirate crew has been destroyed. The pirate sought the next fight with fan favorite Shanks to avenge the loss of his arm. But Kid and his crew lost the fight and probably the information about the Road Poneglyph as well.
