The mobile app Doublicat allows you to put your face on characters from video games, TV shows, or well-known celebrities. The results look really great and have led to many laughs in the MeinMMO editorial team.
What kind of app is this? Doublicat is about choosing a photo of your face, and the app places it on the desired images or GIFs.
The following options are available:
- Known celebrities
- Characters from TV shows
- Heroes from video games
For example, there are images of Geralt from The Witcher, Ellie from The Last of Us, Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk 2077, Sylvanas from WoW, and many, many other characters.
What happens through the app? The faces are not just placed on the bodies; they blend with the originals, creating really interesting results. Some look very similar to the original character, while others appear somewhat creepy.

How does the app work? You can download the app for free from the Google Play Store or from the App Store. Then, you take a photo of your face, and the app needs access to your camera for this. Additionally, your face will be uploaded and stored, which you should keep in mind regarding data protection.
Subsequently, you select GIFs or images onto which your face will be placed.
The app is free, but you will have to wait during the transformation and usually see ads. There is also a premium version without ads and without the watermark.
What funny results are there? Our editor Alexander Leitsch played around with the app a bit. The best result he achieved, in terms of appearance, was as Ellie from The Last of Us. We are not referring to the story or content of the game, which is viewed very controversially.
