The developers of Lost Ark have introduced the next subclass of the MMORPG in a new video. This allows you to take on the form of various animals and summon spirit beasts.
What kind of class is this? In Lost Ark, players choose their character from one of six main classes. However, it becomes interesting when choosing the subclass, as this greatly influences the playstyle of your character.
Now the developers have introduced the subclass “Wild Soul” after a long wait of 11 months, which is set to be released in February.

What kind of class is this? The “Wild Soul” is a subclass of the Specialist, which previously only had the subclasses “Artist” and “Aeromancer.” With the “Wild Soul,” a third subclass is added, focusing on animal transformations and the summoning of spirit beasts that assist the player in combat.
Players with this subclass can transform into a bear or a nine-tailed fox, each providing different attributes and attacks depending on the form.
In bear form, the Wild Soul can take a lot of damage and deals massive attacks. The fox style is the opposite: it focuses on mobility and a fast, fluid combat experience. The Wild Soul stays constantly in motion with short cooldowns and quick combo attacks.
The core of the gameplay lies in switching between the two forms. First, defensive values must be built up, and then damage can be dealt with charged abilities. You can see what this looks like on YouTube:
When do the animal spirits come into play? The “Wild Soul” can not only transform into a bear and a fox like a druid but can also summon spirit beasts that support them in battle. These beings provide the character with cooldown reduction, mana regeneration, and other buffs.
Additionally, during combat, the class’s spirit meter charges up, which can activate a state where the character can attack extra quickly, move faster, and deal more critical damage.
For players, the right timing is essential to activate the correct animal forms and spirit beasts at the right moment. Anyone wanting to master this class must master the switch and combination of abilities.
