Niche game – but fans love the niche fanatically
Best Case: In the best case, this will be a successful niche game that makes fans of PvP MMORPGs happy. This segment has been abandoned since the end of Warhammer Online. While DAOC is still running, it is technically three or four generations behind. ESO and GW2 have borrowed a lot from DAOC, but Camelot Unchained wants to execute that more consistently and with its own ideas.

Will Camelot Unchained still be released in 2017? It wouldn’t be wise to bet on that. There have been too many delays in the past. However, it is the plan, and 2017 is still long.
An attempt to steer the MMORPG genre in a new direction
Mein MMO says: Camelot Unchained shares some parallels with Crowfall: the fans of the game know much more about it than anyone else. The developers come from corporations, have gone independent due to the Kickstarter wave to realize their visions – without the many compromises required in the industry. They are “underdogs” for whom one feels sympathy.
Exciting sieges and large-scale battles – everyday life in Camelot Unchained?
The minds behind both games wish to bring back the good old days, hoping that the MMORPG genre took a different turn 10 years ago rather than “Welcome to WoW, the only type of MMORPG you will all play until the end of time.” Many of their fans, who are now established in life and financially capable, desire the same. They have made both projects possible.
The question is whether the game can ultimately live up to its own standards and those of its fans.
