What is Skyforge? In this MMORPG, you play a character who is immortal and takes on the role of a lesser god. It combines an Asian-inspired combat system with a sci-fi setting. And all of this is completely free.
Skyforge plays significantly like an action game with exciting battles and many instances. However, it somewhat lacks in the RPG content. A cool extra is that you can change classes at any time outside of combat.
Skyforge is especially popular on PS4 but can also be played on Xbox One and PC via its own client or Steam.
Why is it particularly worthwhile at Easter? On April 9, the new, free expansion for the 5th anniversary was released. This brought innovations for veterans but also complete beginners:
- New tutorial missions for specific content have been introduced.
- A major new feature is the Invasion Atlas, which is a collection of missions that grant you bonuses or enhancements for certain classes upon completion. There are over 100 nodes in the atlas.
- A new difficulty level “Nightmare” has been introduced for veterans. There are various modifications that change from day to day and can either restrict you or strengthen the enemies.
- Additionally, there is a new “Divine Form” and three new legendary weapons.
- Moreover, a special event for the Aelion Day 2020 is running until April 15.
