What makes the combat system so good? Neverwinter bases its combat system on the fourth edition of Dungeons & Dragons, with the MMORPG being considerably faster and action-packed. You must actively target enemies and can then use attacks and abilities on them.
However, the impacts of hits do not feel as powerful as in New World or Black Desert. Additionally, your class gives you access to eight different abilities, some of which have longer animations during which you cannot move.
This slightly reduces the action but appeals to some players, as it feels illogical to summon giant fireballs while running. Furthermore, the combat system feels somewhat more strategic compared to ESO or PSO2.

What does the game offer besides combat? Neverwinter is based on the world of Dungeons & Dragons. You create a hero with whom you follow a fixed story, complete quests, and delve into dark dungeons.

Neverwinter is notable for its wide array of content that has built up since its release over the years.
Who is Neverwinter worth it for? Neverwinter is an MMORPG for story fans, D&D nerds, and players who want to experience action-packed battles. The dungeons and bosses present a significant challenge, which can be incredibly entertaining in a group.
Unfortunately, the shop and the somewhat weak graphics mean that Neverwinter has not been a huge success. Overall, it remains one of the best MMORPGs for consoles.
