What is Overwatch? Overwatch is a so-called hero shooter. You choose one of several heroes, each with their own interesting backstory and special abilities. You must use these in fast-paced multiplayer battles to achieve victory.
This way, you earn experience points and can level up over time to earn loot boxes. The game takes place on varied maps in multiple game modes.
These game modes are available in Overwatch: In addition to the usual four modes, a limited-time mode may be added to certain events.
- Assault: On the maps, the two teams must capture two areas and hold them.
- Escort: One team must transport cargo to a target point while the other team tries to gain control of that cargo and then move it to their destination.
- Control: At least one player from a team must occupy a specific point on the map. They must prevent opponents from reaching that point.
- Assault/Escort: This mode is basically a mix of Assault and Escort. Players must first capture areas on the map and then escort the cargo.
- Arcade: A collection of different game modes with special rules.
What is special about the game? Overwatch thrives on the stories of its protagonists. These are told through videos and also drive the story forward.
Thus, you slowly learn more about the heroes, and new ones are added from time to time. Additionally, the game impresses with its fast and straightforward missions and fast-paced gameplay.
Overwatch 2 is currently already in the works. This will be a kind of sequel or expansion to Overwatch with better graphics and a single-player mode, which is expected to be compatible with the first part. However, it is still unclear when Overwatch 2 will be released.
