Rank 4: The Virtual Prison “Tranquility Lane”
- Known from: Fallout 3
This is the “masterpiece” of scientist Stanislaus Braun. As a true genius, he worked together with Vault-Tec on the famous Vaults. He knew all the details about the various experiments conducted there, but in the end, he was mainly concerned about his pet project “Tranquility Lane.”
It is a simulation in which the residents of Vault 112 are held captive by Braun. The scientist lets them believe they are living in an idyllic suburban neighborhood of the 1950s before he harasses, tortures, and virtually kills them. He then revives them, and the sadistic game starts all over again.
Tranquility Lane is a perfidious experiment that serves no purpose other than to satisfy Stanislaus Braun’s malicious side. He artificially keeps himself and his victims alive for over 200 years and torments them—eventually only out of pure boredom.
