Rank 2: Uchiha Clan
The Uchiha Clan was once the most powerful clan in Konohagakure. The Uchiha are known for their extraordinary chakras and powerful fire jutsus (Katon). Especially famous is their Sharingan, a Kekkei Genkai and one of the three great Dou-Jutsu, which gives the bearer significant advantages in battle.
In contrast to other Dou-Jutsus, the Sharingan has to be activated, usually under emotional stress or in great danger. Uchiha who possess the Sharingan can copy the techniques of other shinobi, employ powerful genjutsu (illusion techniques), and foresee the movements of their opponents.
With the Mangekyo Sharingan, they gain access to even stronger techniques like Amaterasu and Susanoo. However, this special Sharingan can only be obtained through deep trauma or by killing a loved one.
The Uchiha were viewed with suspicion by the village elders and were politically disadvantaged. These injustices led to tensions and ultimately ended in the Uchiha massacre. At the age of only 13, Itachi Uchiha was ordered by Konoha to eliminate his entire clan to prevent a looming coup and save Konoha. He killed every member of his clan except for his younger brother Sasuke.

Rank 1: Otsutsuki Clan
The Otsutsuki Clan is undoubtedly the strongest clan in the Naruto universe. Many clans are descended from the Otsutsuki, including the Uchiha, Senju, Hyuga, and Kaguya clans. The origin of the clan lies with Kaguya Otsutsuki, who was the first person to possess chakra after eating the fruit of the Shinju tree.
All Otsutsuki are extraordinarily strong and famous for their powerful Dou-Jutsus. The three legendary eye Kekkei Genkai – Byakugan, Rinnegan, and Sharingan – originally come from this clan. Another Dou-Jutsu of the Otsutsuki is the Tenseigan, which is created by combining many Byakugan, enabling tremendously powerful jutsus.
Kaguya also bore an eye on her forehead, namely the Rin’ne Sharingan. With it, one can activate one of the most powerful jutsus – the Mugen Tsukuyomi, an infinite genjutsu. Additionally, Kaguya uses the eye to move back and forth between dimensions.
This clan also masters powerful sealing jutsus and is considered the inventor of the puppet jutsu. The Otsutsuki also possess a vast amount of chakra that they can control perfectly.
The Otsusuki Clan has produced many of the strongest characters, including:
- Kaguya Otsutsuki
- Toneri Otsutsuki
- Hagoromo Otsutsuki
- Hamura Otsutsuki
