World of Warcraft is full of powerful women. Here we present the five strongest of them in the Power Ranking for the MMORPG WoW.
World of Warcraft is full of strong characters that have been built up over many years and sometimes across multiple games. We already introduced you to the most powerful villains a while ago – today we are dedicating ourselves to the most powerful women that the Warcraft universe has produced so far.
Note that the power of characters can only be estimated to a certain extent. We are primarily referring to the power they possess according to the story and not to the actual level they have in the game.
Gods (like Elune, Eonar, or the Winter Queen), whose power cannot be fully categorized, are not considered in this list.
5. Sylvanas Windrunner
Sylvanas Windrunner was a ranger general of Silvermoon in her lifetime and was transformed into a banshee by Arthas. After regaining her free will and her own body, she took over the leadership of the undead Forsaken.
Sylvanas is rated relatively low because a large part of her power derives from “borrowed” strength. Her multiple rescues from death came from the Val’kyr, and she also drew her abnormal powers during Battle for Azeroth primarily from the Jailer, who also granted her the power to overcome the Lich King Bolvar and to kill Saurfang with a single attack.
In the meantime, Sylvanas has reunited with the missing part of her soul and spends her time collecting and saving souls from the Maw.
However, it is only a matter of time before the Banshee Queen appears again and her path leads back to Azeroth.
4. Jaina Proudmoore
Jaina Proudmoore started as a simple but promising apprentice mage of Archmage Antonidas and quickly became one of the most powerful sorceresses in Azeroth.
In her early years, she traveled alongside Arthas and helped him in the research of the plague that plagued Lordaeron. Later, she quickly gained power, even learning from the great sorceress Aegwynn at times.
Now, Jaina is a prominent character who appears repeatedly and impresses with her magical skills. She was involved in the attack on Undercity, where she transformed a huge ship into a magical weapon. During the attack on Dazar’alor, she was even the final boss of the raid and held the entire Horde army at bay – until she fled once the retreat of the Alliance troops was secured.
She is not only the founder of Theramore and absorbed the power of the Thunder King with her staff – she was also temporarily the ruler of Dalaran, advisor to the king of Stormwind, and is Lord Admiral of the Kul Tiras fleet – making her effectively the ruler of this seafaring nation.
