What happened in this case? Kogoro takes on a job on Moonlight Island. There, a pianist reportedly took his own life 10 years ago by killing his family and setting the house on fire. In his last moments, he is said to have played Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata on a piano.
At a celebration, several murders occur involving mayoral candidates, with several suspects present. Thanks to encrypted messages written in blood and a secret compartment in the piano, he gets to the bottom of the culprit.

What is special about it? This case is one of the first adventures of Conan, featuring fantastic brain teasers. Many subsequent episodes of Detective Conan were inspired by this episode.
Deciphering the blood messages with the notes is brilliant. Also, the suspense of trying to decipher who the murderer is, and the thrilling resolution happens in the best Detective Conan manner. The ending leaves the viewer torn, as one feels sympathy for the victim. Overall, it is an entertaining case.

What happened in this case? The series begins with the Detective Boys tracking some robbers. However, Conan gets shot during the confrontation and has to go to the hospital.
Once there, he considers revealing his true identity to Ran. However, he is persuaded against it by Ai Haibara. After his recovery, a murder occurs during a theater performance by Ran. None other than Shinichi Kudo suddenly appears and solves the case. Conan has received an antidote that temporarily returns him to his old body.
Later, he invites Ran out on a date, during which he intends to confess his love to her. But here, another case awaits the master detective, and he fails to return to Ran in his original body in time. Instead, he has to deliver a message as Conan to apologize for Shinichi.
What is special about it? Ran has known for a long time that Conan is Shinichi. When Conan arrives at the hospital injured, she immediately says that she has the same blood type as Conan.
On the other hand, we have Conan, who for the first time seriously considers telling Ran the truth behind his identity. However, Ai Haibara changes his mind when she holds a gun to his face. The scene is one of the most iconic from the entire anime.
However, the true highlight is the conclusion. Conan temporarily returns to his old body, goes on a wonderful date with Ran, only to then disappear once again for an indefinite period. Ran’s trust in Shinichi is simply heartwarming.
