What is Halo Infinite? Not much is known about Halo Infinite yet. We know that Master Chief is returning and we will once again be able to explore the ring. A single-player campaign awaits us, in which we will fight through numerous enemies.
Halo Infinite will likely be structured similarly to its predecessors. You will explore a large world and complete numerous missions. As it is a next-gen game, we can expect a cinematic presentation of the story.
Ultimately, the game will demonstrate what the new console generation, Xbox Series X, is capable of.
Halo Infinite features several multiplayer modes, one of which may become a battle royale mode. Split-screen has already been announced, meaning we can play cooperatively. Four players should be able to team up online as well.
Does Halo stay true to itself?
What is the development story so far? Fans are eagerly waiting for a new Halo. The announcement occurred at E3 2018. However, Microsoft is holding back information, and only a few details have trickled in here and there.
The trailer shown at E3 2019 got fans really excited about the action game.
Anything could still happen
What is Halo Infinite at best? Halo Infinite could be Microsoft’s next big hit and a really good Halo installment.
It is even possible that there is more behind the multiplayer mode and we can perhaps expect something that keeps us entertained in the long run, like the big Halo games once did, but as a games-as-a-service title with longevity.
What is Halo Infinite at worst? Without Bungie on board, the Halo series faces some challenges. However, the new developer 343 Industries made it clear with Halo 5 that it can create good Halo games even without Bungie. Still, fans will watch the new installment closely and will not forgive mistakes.
It could also be that Halo Infinite aims too high—especially regarding multiplayer—and thus loses its focus. In that case, Halo Infinite could be quickly forgotten.
