What kind of achievement is this? In World of Warcraft, you can collect – a lot of collecting. Among the most popular items are undoubtedly the various mounts that you can obtain in the game.
Currently, there are over 1,000 mounts in the game, but many of them are locked behind long grinds or a lot of luck. Trying to get as many as possible is for some a lifelong quest that they have been working on for over 20 years.
“Thanks for Wearing!” is granted when your account has at least 500 different mounts that can all be used by one character. It does not matter where these mounts come from. You can add them as drops, rewards from reputation factions, or direct purchases from the in-game shop in your collection.
What’s important is solely the number. Once you have collected 500 mounts, you will receive the achievement – and the 501st mount for free.
However, it must be said that this achievement will become easier to complete with each patch. Because the number of mounts in the game increases with each patch. Consequently, it also becomes easier to obtain them eventually due to the ever-growing selection.
