In the movies of Star Wars, there are tons of cool spaceships. In this list, we want to clarify which of them are the 5 fastest.
How was the ranking created? Anyone wanting to go from point A to point B in the Star Wars universe necessarily needs a spaceship. Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon isn’t a bad choice, but there are better alternatives – at least when it comes to speed. For this list, we looked at five of the fastest specimens.
What counts above all is one value: The speed, which in Star Wars is specified in Megalight. This is the sublight speed at which ships fly through the vacuum of space, for instance during shorter trips or battles.
Not relevant for the list is the speed in hyperspace. Here, the Millennium Falcon would be one of the top contenders. In terms of Megalight per hour, abbreviated MGLT, however, Han Solo’s ship comes in at a mere 75 MGLT, placing it only 34th. The following 5 ships are far superior to it in this regard.
On MeinMMO, you can find a ranking of all 15 films of Star Wars.
Place 5: Tri-Droid Fighter
Maximum speed: 125 MGLT
The Tri-Droid Fighter is at the bottom of this list with 125 MGLT, but it is still pretty fast. The unique feature of the ship is that it has no pilot. Instead, it’s controlled by a droid brain.
The fighter is used in the Clone Wars on the side of the Separatist Alliance. Among other things, Anakin fights them. In battle, the fighters are not only fast, but they also have strong armaments. Multiple laser cannons fire at the enemy. Special rockets also release small sabotage droids intended to incapacitate enemy ships.
