With its now 15 years in existence, players of World of Warcraft have experienced more than a few strange stories. Some get more deeply invested in the game than others, leading to particularly memorable achievements. We have picked out 5 of the wildest feats that players have accomplished over the years.
1. Doubleagent – the neutral Pandaren at max level
Almost after every new expansion, it takes a few months for the Pandaren named “Doubleagent” to reach max level. This alone is not particularly spectacular, as hundreds of thousands of other characters do the same – but Doubleagent has found a very special way of doing it: He has not left the starting island of the Pandaren.
This means that Doubleagent also does not belong to any faction, so he has not yet decided on Horde or Alliance. Instead, he farms experience points in a very roundabout way: by picking herbs and mining ores. Each resource grants him only a handful of experience points, which makes leveling up for a level take several days or even weeks. Nevertheless, he has now gathered a large circle of fans who are excited every time he levels up at the start of a new expansion.
Doubleagent sweetens his rather monotonous gameplay with series on a second screen – otherwise, the 8-10 hours per day spent gathering resources would hardly be bearable.
