What is The Elder Scrolls Online? The MMORPG offshoot of the well-known single-player series The Elder Scrolls Online focuses on telling epic stories. To do this, you complete many quests together with friends that take you across the fantasy continent of Tamriel.
Your decisions and actions even influence the land and its population. You can engage in PvP in special zones.
How is the entry into the game? You can optionally visit an area for newcomers where you are introduced to the gameplay and the story. You will experience almost everything the main game has to offer there but with a moderate difficulty level and in stages so as not to overwhelm you. After that, you will enter the large world where the quests also build on each other.
What can you expect in the endgame? The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online has no clearly defined endgame. The challenges are adjusted to your level. However, it is necessary to farm resources and acquire increasingly powerful gear. Additionally, dungeons in a veteran mode are available, and you can engage in PvP battles in the land of Cyrodiil for the title of emperor.
Is there a special upgrade for next-gen? An upgrade is expected after release, which will make some improvements. However, Zenimax has not revealed what those improvements will be.
At the start of the next-gen consoles, you can first experience the regular MMORPG.
How modern does the game feel? The Elder Scrolls Online does not look as polished as Black Desert Online, but it still makes a good visual impression. The controls on console are very well implemented, as the versions were developed from the start. How ESO will improve with the planned next-gen upgrade remains to be seen.
