Alongside the eerie magician, Chise learns more about her powers and has to come to terms with the fact that her fate seems to be preordained.

Riko, still young, is only allowed to descend a few meters, but there she makes an interesting find. She discovers a robot boy, whom she names Reg, and is fascinated by the technology that made his creation possible. Together with Reg, she sets out to descend deep into the Abyss, to search for her missing mother and at the same time to explore Reg’s origins.
What to expect from Made in Abyss: Made in Abyss is perhaps the epitome of an adventure anime, as the descent into the unknown is literally the content of this series. The world becomes increasingly fantastical with every meter down, but also more eerie and grisly. The beings and worlds created here brim with creative energy.
However, a word of warning: Although the protagonists are children, the series is by no means suitable for kids. Some images and scenes are disturbing and may stick in one’s memory for a long time.
