In FIFA 19 Ultimate Team, more events with special cards and SBCs are appearing than ever before. However, some errors have crept in.
Since the release of FUT 19, errors have repeatedly entered the game with new events and card releases. Some of these have caused quite a stir in the community.
We show you the three biggest errors of FUT 19 so far.
The Position Issue of Jadon Sancho
This is what happened: The second Player of the Month of the Bundesliga was Jadon Sancho. For his performances in real football, the Dortmund winger received the Player of the Month award and thus a POTM special card, which could be unlocked through an SBC.
The problem: EA released his special card for the wrong position. Instead of releasing a POTM card for the right midfield (RM), it appeared for the LM position (left midfield).
Many players quickly completed the SBC and were amazed by the card. After all, Sancho only played on the right side in the Bundesliga.
This is what EA did: EA quickly noticed the error and the SBC was removed. After a few hours, the SBC reappeared, this time everything was correct, and Sancho could be unlocked for right midfield.
Curious: FUT players who completed the first, erroneous SBC were allowed to keep their LM Sancho and automatically received the corrected RM card. Thus, some FUT players have the privilege of owning Sancho POTM twice. They can position him versatile on both sides.
Yann Sommer is too Strong
This is what happened: Actually, Sommer’s headline card (88) was supposed to receive an upgrade of +2 to a total rating of 90 due to the winter upgrades. But EA made a mistake and increased the card by a generous 4 points, so Yann Sommer now (with 92) has the highest overall rating of all Bundesliga goalkeepers.
This is what EA did: Nothing! After the company realized the mistake, they decided not to correct it. The mistake only affects the overall rating. The attributes of the goalkeeper are correct and correspond to a 90-rated goalkeeper.
Curious: With Sommer, you get a really cheap 92-rated card for just around 80,000 coins. This can be used well for SBCs to push the required team’s rating.
The Rewards Were Too Good
This is what happened: In November 2018, EA released the Prime Icon SBC 3, here you could choose one of these Prime Icons by completing a 4-part SBC:
- Javier Zanetti 92
- Ryan Giggs 92
- Gheorghe Hagi 91
- Christian Vieri 90
- Gianfranco Zola 90
The problem: The requirements were far too low. The first two part SBCs were not an issue, only 11 bronze players and 11 silver players were required.
But parts 3 and 4 were also surprisingly easy. For part 3 of the SBC, you only had to submit a gold team including 3 Team of the Week players, with the overall rating being completely irrelevant.
For part 4 of the SBC, it was necessary to submit any icon card.
The rewards were strong: For part 3, there was a Rare Player Pack (value: 50,000 coins).
Upon completing part 4, you received a Jumbo Rare Player Pack (value: 100,000 coins).
This is what the players did: Since the entire SBC was also repeatable, clever FUT players could simply exchange the newly received Prime Icon and complete the remaining 3 parts of the SBC for about 50,000 coins again.
This way, they received the valuable packs again and could enjoy a Prime Icon card again in the end. This could be repeated as often as desired.
This is what EA did: After the mistake was noticed, EA removed the SBC on the same day. Later, the SBC was readjusted and published again. This time, the rewards were significantly scaled down and the requirements increased. There were now 5 part SBCs and the most valuable pack was a Prime Gold Player Pack (value: 45,000 coins).
Among the most annoying gameplay problems was the position bug. This was fixed in update 1.10.
