These are the best 3 Pinnacle Weapons of Destiny 2 – According to you
In the survey, more than 3,100 of our readers participated. Here’s how they voted:
The Top 3:
- In 1st place, with 36%, is the Universal Talent “The Recluse” from Season 6. You have crowned this submachine gun as the best Pinnacle Weapon of Destiny 2 with a significant lead.
- With 14%, the fusion rifle “Fangfrage” from Season 5 follows in 2nd place, already slightly behind.
- 3rd place goes to a new Pinnacle Weapon from the ongoing Season of Opulence – the grenade launcher Wendigo GL3 with 11%.
The Top 10: places 4 to 10 are filled by the following Pinnacle Weapons:
- 4th place: Grenade Launcher “The Mountaintop” with 9%
- 5th place: Hand Cannon “Luna’s Howl” with 8%
- 6th place: Auto Rifle “Breakneck” with 7%
- 7th place: Hand Cannon “Not Forgotten” with 6%
- 8th place: Machine Gun “21% Delirium” with 4%
- 9th place: Pulse Rifle “Redrix’s Claymore” with 2%
- 10th place: Bow “The Wick” with 1%
1st place: What makes The Recluse so good?
This is what the weapon can do: What makes The Recluse so strong and your top choice is the fact that it handles excellently for a submachine gun – both in PvE and PvP. The range of the weapon is also top-notch.
Moreover, this SMG has an extremely strong perk combination that is easy to use. Through weapon mastery, kills with any weapon temporarily increase The Recluse’s damage by about 50%. With Feeding Frenzy, kills temporarily increase the reload speed. This allows you to easily diminish both groups of enemies and majors, with the increased damage and fast reload being noticeably effective.
At close to medium range, there are hardly any better alternatives. Essentially, you just have to do one thing to get the most out of the weapon – kill enemies.
This is how you get the weapon: You get the quest from Lord Shaxx in the Tower. It’s called “Out of the Mouths of the Unworthy”. To complete this, you need to finish the story material PvP triumph, which requires
- To win Crucible matches until the meter is filled to 100%. Competitive and Iron Banner matches provide the most progress.
- To reach the Glory Rank “Famous,” which means 2,100 points in the competitive playlist.
2nd place: What makes Fangfrage so good?
This is what the weapon can do: Fangfrage is an extremely powerful fusion rifle – especially for PvE. When the battery, that is, the magazine of Fangfrage is full, its unique perk “Storage Surge” causes additional damage at the next shield and makes enemies explode upon death.
The damage and explosion are so powerful that entire hordes of enemies can be completely pulverized with just one shot. Majors can also be taken down quickly with Fangfrage (Major Mod helps) – even if Storage Surge is not activated. Therefore, the weapon can be effectively used against almost any type of enemy.
If this strong performance is combined with the Rift or Well of Radiance of the Warlocks, in conjunction with Lunafaction Boots or with the Titan’s Barricade, then you become an absolute killing machine in PvE, especially at close to medium range.
In the right hands, Fangfrage can also achieve great results in PvP and, with a bit of luck, take out entire groups of enemy Guardians.
This is how you get the weapon: The quest is available from Zavala in the Tower. After that, you need to
- To get a total of 500 kills with fusion rifles in any strike or Nightfall.
- To land 1000 Arc kills in any strike or Nightfall.
- To complete 40 strikes. Nightfalls count towards this.
3rd place: What makes Wendigo GL3 so good?
This is what the weapon can do: If you enjoy PvE, then the Wendigo is currently an absolute top choice. With the special perk Explosive Light, collected orbs expand the explosion radius of its grenades. Additionally, the damage of the grenades is increased by about 70% and the grenades blind your enemies. Up to 6 grenades (a full magazine) can be empowered with Explosive Light.
In the eyes of many Guardians, this grenade launcher is one of the best and strongest legendary PvE weapons for the power slot. Whether against groups of enemies, powerful foes, or bosses – the Wendigo performs well against all and makes many Exotics look outdated.
Moreover, this grenade launcher can significantly boost your survivability depending on perks on your gear, since it allows you to collect orbs even when your super is already full.
This is how you get the weapon: The weapon comes from the Vanguard and you have a lot to do for it. In the Vanguard Strike playlist (and only there), you need to
- To achieve 1,500 death blows with a grenade launcher.
- To land 500 multi-kills with the grenade launcher.
- To score 15,000 points (by killing enemies). Your own deaths hinder progress.
