Fortnite has released a teaser for the new Season 8 of the Battle Royale. Apparently, you can expect pirates and privateers.
This is what is shown: On Twitter, the official Fortnite account has published an image showing the silhouette of a hook hand against a black shadow. A text is displayed:
Treasure in sight

will be found again.

Both the banner and the short poem hint at a pirate theme in the upcoming Season 8.
This is what is special about Season 8: That the theme has now been confirmed will please many fans, as the Battle Pass for the 8th season of Fortnite is being given away. So you won’t incur any costs if you want to earn all the rewards.
However, you will need to complete some tasks. This will continue until February 27.
What exactly you can unlock with the Season 8 Battle Pass in terms of rewards is still unknown. However, Fortnite will likely release more detailed information within the next 4 days.
What do fans say about the teaser?
This is how the community reacts: Many players are already looking forward to the pirates, and there are speculations about what rewards players might be able to earn. The suspicion is that a pirate skin will be introduced.
Players suspect this as a Tier 100 reward, similar to the Ice King from Season 7. Here, too, the Ice King was teased and was ultimately the highest reward.

What does the earthquake have to do with it? A few weeks ago, players found hints of an earthquake in Fortnite. A leak then claimed that players could play underground, because the map would break apart.
However, some fans on reddit have done a little research and informed themselves about what else can happen during an earthquake. One possible consequence is a tsunami, a huge wave that can devastate large areas.
Such a wave would fit better with the flooding and the maritime theme of the pirate idea. So it could well be that the earthquake really heralds Season 8.
