In Battle Royale Call of Duty: Warzone, nothing beats a stable automatic weapon that allows you to quickly tally your kills. A CoD expert presented the 10 firearms with the least recoil, and MeinMMO provides setups and damage comparisons for you.
Why are stable weapons so important? Precise weapons that tear apart enemies like an experimental laser beam provide you with a significant advantage: You hit your target. However, just because this sounds logical and trivial, you should not underestimate this simple fact. Because a high hit rate in Call of Duty: Warzone often correlates with the damage dealt. If you take a more stable weapon, it typically doesn’t deal as much damage as an untamed damage monster.
Stable weapons are in the Warzone META (Most Effective Tactic Available), and YouTuber and CoD expert “TheXclusiveAce” has examined and compared the recoil behavior of all the automatic weapons in the game. Using his data, he compiled what he believes are the ten most stable weapons into a top-10 ranking, and MeinMMO presents his analysis along with setups and a brief introduction to the corresponding firearm. We embed his English video here for you:
What are his criteria? To provide an objective comparison, he assessed the weapons based on the following aspects:
- He compared the recoil patterns after firing 30 bullets
- No attachments are mounted on the weapons
- Weapons with strong horizontal recoil are excluded; vertical recoil is much easier to control
- Strong jumps between individual shots also disqualify a weapon
In this way, Ace created a neutral basis on which he builds his ranking. He looks at how far apart the bullets are at impact to determine accuracy. Thus, these are the most stable weapons in the game.
It also starts off with some surprises, as LMGs play a significant role in the top 10.
Place 10: M91 – One of surprisingly many MG’s on the list
What does the weapon have to offer? The large machine gun never runs out of 100 rounds and plays quite sluggishly as a result. The recoil pattern shows a well-controllable resistance against imprecise shots. The impact holes are close together and tend to go left after a few shots. However, this weapon is only in focus for a few players, as the relatively strong upward kick is not balanced out by corresponding damage values. Currently, not a candidate for the best weapons in Warzone.
Under-barrel recommendation: Ranger / Mercenary / Marksman
Warzone M91 Setup
- Muzzle: Silencer (Monolith)
- Barrel: M91 Heavy
- Laser: Tactical Laser or Grip: Textured Grip Tape
- Optic: VLK 3.0 Optic
- Under-barrel: Ranger Grip
Place 9: MG34 – Winner in damage
What does the weapon have to offer? This machine deals the most damage of all listed to your enemies while remaining quite stable. The recoil goes almost entirely upwards, making it easy to control. However, the upward kick is quite strong; therefore, the MG34 does not climb higher on the list.
Under-barrel recommendation: Ranger / Mercenary / Marksman
Warzone MG34 Setup
- Muzzle: Silencer (Monolith)
- Barrel: FSS Brute
- Laser: Tactical Laser or Grip: Textured Grip Tape
- Optic: VLK 3.0 Optic
- Under-barrel: Ranger Grip
Place 8: PKM – Plenty of ammo for many hits
What does the weapon have to offer? The bullets of the PKM hit not quite as hard as those of the MG34, but in terms of damage, this LMG performs well. Here, the barrel also goes upward when firing, but you need to counter less than with Place 9. Here is the weapon guide for the LMG.
Under-barrel recommendation: Vertical Grip
Warzone PKM Setup
- Muzzle: Silencer (Monolith)
- Barrel: Heavy 25.9″ Barrel
- Laser: Tactical Laser or Grip: Textured Grip Tape
- Optic: VLK 3.0 Optic
- Under-barrel: Vertical Grip
Place 7: Grau 5.56 – The fallen queen
What does the weapon have to offer? The Grau was once the absolute power weapon of the Warzone, but a few nerfs later, it is getting closer to the rest of the arsenal. What still makes it one of the best all-around weapons in Warzone is its strong “Iron Sight” on the large Archangel barrel. This doesn’t hinder while firing and is very precise. Thus, you can save an optic attachment compared to other assault rifles, allowing you to upgrade the firearm with another gadget. However, in terms of stability, it only makes it to Place 7.
Under-barrel recommendation: Commando Grip
Warzone Grau 5.56 Setup
- Muzzle: Silencer (Monolith)
- Barrel: Tempus 26.4″ Archangel
- Laser: Tactical Laser or Grip: XRK Void II
- Ammunition: 60 Round Magazine
- Under-barrel: Commando Grip
Place 6: Bruen Mk9 – Weaker but still good
What does the weapon have to offer? Like the Grau 5.56, the Bruen Mk9 was considered the best weapon for a period. In addition to its stability, the Bruen also brought a lot of damage, which was something the Grau lacked. However, the nerf hammer also struck here twice, and the Bruen ranks more alongside the other weapons. The 60 Round Magazine is standard, bringing its mobility to assault rifle levels.
Under-barrel recommendation: Commando Grip
Warzone Bruen Setup
- Muzzle: Silencer (Monolith)
- Barrel: XRK Summit 26.8″
- Laser: Tactical Laser
- Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
- Ammunition: 60 Round Magazine
