7. Biollante
- First appeared in the film Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989)
For a change, there is no alien this time. Biollante is a man-made monster created by Genichiro Shiragami, who combined Godzilla’s cells with roses that he created from his daughter’s cells.
From this rose grew a giant monster, first in a rose form full of tendrils, later in a monstrous form whose head resembles that of a crocodile. Thus, he is a plant variant of the giant lizard. However, Biollante’s appearance attracted Godzilla’s attention.
Despite the strong tendrils and powerful acid attacks, Biollante cannot win against Godzilla and his atomic breath. Biollante ultimately dissolves into spores that fly into the sky, and one can see a last image of Genichiro Shiragami’s deceased daughter.
