Season 3 has changed the weapon preferences of players from Call of Duty: Warzone – major hits from last month have disappeared from the scene and new stars are among the favorites. MeinMMO shows you the weapon charts at the beginning of May 2021 with the appropriate setups.
Call of Duty: Warzone regularly changes weapons in the game to weaken overly strong alternatives or give unpopular weapons a chance. Season 3 brought many changes to the weapon meta and to give you an idea of which firearms many players are currently reaching for, you will find here the currently most popular weapons.
Where do the data come from? The ranking listed here comes from the data tool “WZ Ranked”. On this page, you will find detailed datasets of your matches, as well as large rankings of the most popular weapons and their setups. The 10 weapons listed here were used in the week from April 24 to May 01.
However, there are limitations. The CoD developers closed a data interface (API) some time ago and players now have to manually open this on “CallOfDuty.com” to become part of the datasets. Previously, this interface was open by default. “WZ Ranked” states that they can currently analyze between 2 – 6% of the worldwide loadout datasets and thereby provide a good cross-section of the weapons used.

- FARA 83 – Assault rifle from Cold War

- Grau 5.56 – Assault rifle from CoD MW
- LC10 – Submachine gun from Cold War
- M4A1 – Assault rifle from CoD MW
Until the start of Season 3, there were no significant changes between March and April. In comparison to our last weapon charts in March, the list looks quite different. Because with the new season, the weapon meta has changed. Many more weapons are now considered strong and no weapon is perceived as overly “overpowered”. For 3 weapons, further nerfs have still been announced.
The strong tactical rifles from Season 2 have completely disappeared from the top 10, just like the long-time favorites MP5 and M13 from CoD MW. Instead, three newcomers from Cold War, namely Krig 6, FARA 83, and LC10, are part of the mix. In the top 10, there are thus five weapons from CoD MW and five from Cold War.
