With Season 2 came a few exciting changes to the weapon balance in Call of Duty: Warzone, which also affected the overall weapon selection. MeinMMO shows you the weapon charts in March with the players’ favorite setups.
“WZ Ranked” additionally shows the most used setups alongside the ranking. In the following paragraphs, you will find a brief description of the weapons regarding their field of use and the most popular attachment combination. Here you can go to page 1.
10th place: M13 – Burns rounds for high stability – 2.4 %
What is the weapon capable of? The assault rifle M13 is very reliable and a real laser. With its high rate of fire, opponents are literally shaken by hits. However, it pays for these traits with very low damage per shot, which empties its magazines at record speed.

9th place: MP5 – Remains at the top since release – 2.5 %
What is the weapon capable of? The MP has endured several nerfs, but is still a top weapon in CoD MW and Warzone. It offers high damage and is optimal for close-quarters combat. The “new” MP5 from Cold War does bring more damage, but with the “old” variant, you have better control.

8th place: M4A1 – The second constant from CoD MW – 3.9 %
What is the weapon capable of? The M4 has also maintained its place in the top lists since the release of Warzone, just like the MP5 from CoD MW. It offers the highest damage among all-round rifles with range but is therefore not quite as easy to control as its direct competitors Grau 5.56 and Kilo 141. The M4A1, by the way, has a very strong setup for solo players.

7th place: Grau 5.56 – Stable & Reliable – 5 %
What is the weapon capable of? The Grau was, for a time, the benchmark in Warzone. It benefits from its strong “Iron Sight” (Iron Sights) and high stability – which keeps it a top-tier weapon. The most popular setup on “WZ Ranked” shows the Grau with the perk “Fully Loaded”, which fills your assault rifle ammunition to the maximum when picking it up from the loadout crate.

6th place: Kilo 141 – Its good reputation keeps it in the list – 5.5 %
What is the weapon capable of? Grau, M13, and Kilo – this trio gives you the most security with assault rifles with range when firing. The Kilo was considered the best weapon before the integration of Cold War into Warzone and is still a popular choice. In a special feature on MeinMMO, we show whether the weapon is still worth it.

5th place: CR-56 AMAX – The slower FFAR – 6 %
What is the weapon capable of? With the AMAX, you trade range and control for damage. In close combat, the assault rifle can keep up with the FFAR in damage but is significantly slower. 4th place: AUG – When accuracy goes over damage – 8.8 %
What is the weapon capable of? The tactical rifle AUG has benefited greatly from the attachment buffs of Season 2 and is currently regarded as a top choice for long-range kills if you do not want to use a sniper. With its 3-round mode, you can land very precise hits; however, the fire mode does not appeal to every player. More information about the AUG and a comparison to the M16 can be found here.

3rd place: MAC-10 – Dropped but not out – 10.6 %
What is the weapon capable of? The MAC-10 loses its top position in the list but doesn’t get defeated. It offers a strong mix of high rate of fire, reasonable range, and decent damage, thus still belongs to the best submachine guns in Warzone.

2nd place: Kar 98k – Still by far the best sniper – 13.6 %
What is the weapon capable of? The World War II weapon is fast, has one-shot potential, high bullet speed, and remains the sniper favorite in Warzone. If you are looking for a sniper rifle that is not as cumbersome to handle as HDR, AX-50 or the sniper rifle from Cold War, go for the Kar. However, the powerful SP-R 208 might also suit you.

1st place: FFAR 1 – Brutal close combat weapon with many fans – 17.2 %
What is the weapon capable of? The FFAR dominates in Warzone, with 17.2% of the used loadouts in the “WZ Ranked” database containing the assault rifle from Cold War. It offers a better time-to-kill than SMGs, is very fast to scope in, and can also inflict damage at medium distances. Additionally, it offers a broken magazine, allowing you to reload faster and have more bullets available – without corresponding disadvantages. Currently, no competitor can surpass it, which earns it a deserved first place.

Conclusion: Close combat becomes more important and “Cold War” weapons take over the meta
The FFAR 1 has fully entered the Warzone meta and, along with the MAC-10, is part of more than 25% of all analyzed loadouts. This indicates a greater focus on close combat in Warzone since our last evaluation.
Due to the strengthened AUG, long-range weapons from CoD MW are losing popularity, and of the top 4 weapons, now 3 are from Cold War.
If you want to follow the meta, you currently cannot get past the FFAR, AUG, Kar, and MAC-10. These weapons are very popular and strong. With such high shares in weapon choice, nerfs are also to be expected. Once you have chosen your weapon, you only need strong strategies for your way to the endgame.
