MeinMMO presents the weapon charts of Call of Duty: Warzone in June 2021. Newcomers, classics, enduring favorites – we show you the weapons that are played the most in Warzone and which setups the players are using.
“WZ Ranked” (via wzranked.com) additionally shows the most used setups along with the ranking of the most popular weapons. In the following paragraphs, you will find a brief description of the weapons regarding their use and the most popular attachment combination (as of June 23, 2021).
10th Place: Grau 5.56 – The Warzone Base Model / 3.3 %
The Grau offers stability, safety, and one of the best “Iron Sights” in the game. Many players have the assault rifle at max level and still prefer to go into Battle Royale with the Grau. Due to the strong Iron Sight, you save an attachment for the sight, which is often used for the extra “Fully Loaded”. If you get the weapon from the loadout crate, you also receive a decent stack of assault rifle ammunition with it. Here you will find a small guide to the Grau.
Warzone Grau Setup
- Muzzle: Sound Suppressor (Monolith)
- Barrel: Tempus 26.4″ Archangel
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammo: 60 Round Magazine
- Extra: Fully Loaded
9th Place: MP5 from Cold War – Best Close Combat without Shotgun / 3.4 %
The MP5 model from Cold War is a pure close combat weapon and feels most at home in tight houses and close-quarters situations. If shotguns are too cumbersome for you and you want a bit more range, then reach for the MP5 from Cold War. But the enemy shouldn’t be more than 15 meters away.
Warzone MP5 from Cold War Setup
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
- Stock: Looters Stock
- Underbarrel: Steady Aim Grip
- Ammo: STANAG 50-Round Drum
8th Place: Kilo 141 – When Stability is Everything / 3.6 %
The Kilo is an extremely reliable assault rifle in Warzone, offering a pleasantly low recoil. However, there is a kind of “deadline” at just under 85 meters. Unlike all other assault rifles, the Kilo then moves into a third damage range, and the time-to-kill exceeds 1 second. Other than that, the Kilo does a good job.
Warzone Kilo 141 Setup
- Muzzle: Sound Suppressor (Monolith)
- Barrel: Singuard Arms 19.7″ Hater
- Optic: VLK 3.0x Scope
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammo: 60 Round Magazine
7th Place: XM4 – Handles Anything / 4.2 %
The newcomer XM4 comes with a long-range setup into our most popular weapons but can also handle close combat. The weapon is stable, has good damage, and shines with its versatility. Whether sniper support, MP replacement, or long-range fighter – the XM4 is ready for any challenge.
Warzone XM4 Setup
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 13.5″ Special Ops
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip
- Ammo: STANAG 60 Rounds
6th Place: CR-56 AMAX – Nerf Hits Its Image / 4.3 %
The AMAX has suffered after its nerf at the start of Season 4 and fell from 2nd to 6th place. Its numbers are no longer as impressive, as the AMAX has lost its TTK potential of under 500 milliseconds. Nevertheless, the assault rifle remains very strong and rocks in close and long combat – if you can handle the recoil.
Warzone CR-56 AMAX Setup
- Muzzle: Sound Suppressor (Monolith)
- Barrel: XRK Zodiac S440
- Optic: VLK 3.0x Scope
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammo: 45 Round Magazine
5th Place: Krig 6 – Grau Alternative from Cold War / 4.8 %
Stable and reliable – that’s what characterizes the Krig 6. The rifle hardly recoils while firing, allowing you to get secure hits even at long distances. The Krig is not higher on the list because its damage leaves something to be desired. The strong competitor FARA 83 is simply better at the moment.
Warzone Krig 6 Setup
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 19.7″ Ranger
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip
- Ammo: STANAG 60 Round
4th Place: MAC-10 – Reliable Rapid Fire / 6.0 %
The small MAC-10 looks funny with the large attachments, but there’s no joking around in close combat. From about 10 meters, it outperforms the MP5 from Cold War in damage and is effective up to around 20 meters. Due to its good control, hits at these distances still connect. This makes it the most popular submachine gun.
Warzone MAC-10 Setup
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 5.9″ Special Ops
- Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
- Stock: Looters Stock
- Ammo: STANAG 53 Round Drum
3rd Place: MG 82 – OP Bonus Hits Hard / 9.1 %
The MG 82 comes in strong with an OP boost into the top 10 and enjoys good weather up here. However, the weapon has already been nerfed, and it remains to be seen whether the MG 82 deserves its spot in the sun. The developers aim to make the weapon an LMG for short to medium distances and maintain decent damage values even after the nerf.
Warzone MG 82 Setup
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 16.4″ Special Ops
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
- Grip: Snake Wrap
2nd Place: Kar 98k – The Sniper Rifle of the Warzone Nation / 9.3 %
If you like to play sniper in Warzone, you can hardly get past the World War II weapon Kar 98k. The Kar offers a pleasant ZV pace, good aiming stability, and takes down enemies with a headshot. For the very long distances, larger sniper rifles perform better. But for a quick sniper shot into the house across the street, the Kar 98k is simply the best choice.
Warzone Kar 98k Setup
- Muzzle: Sound Suppressor (Monolith)
- Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6″
- Laser: Tactical Laser
- Optic: Sniper Scope
- Stock: FTAC Sport Comb
1st Place: FARA 83 – Stability and Damage Win Over / 9.5 %
The FARA has come a long way and rightly sits on the throne now. After some changes, the weapon is now very stable, has decent damage, and crucial bullet speed. It’s a lot of fun in Warzone right now, which could lead to a nerf soon.
Warzone FARA 83 Setup
- Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
- Barrel: 18.7″ Speznas RPK Barrel
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Speznas Grip
- Ammo: Speznas 60 Rounds
Conclusion: The Weapons Are Getting Closer Together
The MG 82 has stirred things up at the start of the season and has now taken the third place among the most popular weapons. However, this anomaly cannot break the trend that the weapons in Warzone are getting closer together.
Even the top three weapons do not exceed a usage rate of 10%. This has never happened in our weapon charts on MeinMMO before.
Call of Duty: Warzone wants to emphasize your preferences more and has fewer weapons in the game that you must rely on. So far, this is going quite well. Throughout Season 4, you can expect further weapon adjustments, perhaps even comprehensive changes to the arsenal – the time-to-kill is supposed to increase significantly.
