Rank 6: Eddard “Ned” Stark
Ned Stark is probably the most honorable character in Game of Thrones. After the murder of his father and brother, he had to take on the role of head of House Stark. As Lord of Winterfell, he ruled with a mixture of sternness and compassion, as one would expect from a man of honor.
Even more important was his time in King’s Landing. He uncovered the true parentage of Cersei’s children, sealing his own fate in the process. To save his daughters, he made a false confession and was ultimately executed. These events triggered the “War of the Five Kings,” which had far-reaching consequences for all of Westeros.
Ned’s legacy is also a personal one. He passed on his strong sense of morality and justice to his children – and of course to Jon – shaping events in the North long after his death.
