What is Horizon: Zero Dawn about? Long after the collapse of civilization, the remaining humans live in tribes again. You play as Aloy, an outcast who fights for the Nora tribe after she has passed their test. Technology is only found in the ruins of the “Old Ones” and in the form of living machines that roam the land. Throughout the game, you learn a bit more about the past and the Old Ones.
How does Horizon: Zero Dawn play? Horizon is an RPG, so you can play and equip Aloy however you like. Spears, bows, and various traps are available to hunt machines and fight enemies. Additionally, you have an ancient device that gives you access to some technical abilities.
You can upgrade the skill trees of Hunter, Warrior, and Gatherer, determining how strong you are in combat, hunting, or acquiring important resources. You will learn more about your mission in the world while playing. In GameStar, the game also landed in the list of the best open-world games at position 5.
