Fortnite
Fortnite is an unusual survival game. It is colorful and incredibly funny on one hand. On the other hand, it is also a fun co-op shooter. In the near future, the world is plagued by a mysterious storm. 98 percent of humanity disappears in this storm, and shortly thereafter strange zombie creatures appear, hunting the remaining survivors.
You play as the “Commander” of one of these survivor groups and control heroes from the command center. Each hero belongs to one of four classes, such as Soldier or Ninja. With sub-classes, you can specialize your role into tanks or builders, for example.
You craft new weapons from resources you find in the world. Unlike most survival games, in Fortnite, you are not traveling through the entire world, but instead select a mission area instance for up to three players on the map.
Fortnite is currently in early access. To participate, you need a founder’s package. Such founder’s packages can be found on Fortnite’s homepage via the link provided. By the release in 2018, Fortnite is expected to become free to play.
The battle royale mode of Fortnite is particularly popular for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. With the well-known “last survivor wins” principle, Fortnite achieves player numbers similar to PUBG. In contrast to PUBG, Fortnite: Battle Royale is free – you do not need to buy the base game.
