Rust

Rust is a survival game developed by Facepunch Studios (also known for Garry’s Mod). You start on an island and initially carry only a torch and a stone. With the stone, you can chop down trees, gather ores from rocks, or kill animals. From the killed animals, you obtain raw meat which you can cook over a campfire. You should do this, because if you eat the meat raw, you will vomit and lose health points.
Materials like wood can be used to build tools that allow you to gather resources faster. You obtain wood not only by chopping down trees but also from wood piles scattered around the area. Once you have gathered enough wood, you can build a large hut for protection.
During your adventures, you will often encounter foreign players who may first seem friendly. However, you should not trust every player just because they appear friendly. Other players might only be after your gathered materials and will kill you if you turn your back on them.
Communicating with other players combined with the doubt of whether you can trust them creates very special tension in Rust.
Rust is currently in early access and costs €19.99 on Steam – Rust in the Steam shop. On February 8, 2018, Rust will leave early access – then the price will increase from €20 to €35.
