We are slowly coming to the elite class of gaming series. Castlevania adapts the venerable video game series from Konami. The vampire hunter Trevor Belmont, who first appeared in Castlevania III, faces off against Count Dracula once again.
Trevor is supported by a sorceress and Dracula’s son. The series was well received by both critics (94 %) and fans. Although some characters might be a bit one-dimensional, the story and its pacing entertain well.
The series is particularly suitable for newcomers to Castlevania. The dark atmosphere finds many fans, and overall, the production repeatedly receives the label “Epic” in the reviews.
If four seasons are not enough for you, you should also check out the subsequent series Castlevania: Nocturne. It has an average rating of 72 %, but as we only place each franchise once on this list, Nocturne is only mentioned here as a bonus.
