Another animated series has made it to 7th place. Devil May Cry is the adaptation of the video game series of the same name from Capcom and tells the story of the demon hunter Dante. He faces off against the demon White Rabbit and wants to avenge the death of his family.
The series was released in spring 2025 and has 8 episodes. While it received good, but not outstanding ratings from fans, the press on Rotten Tomatoes was much more positive and awarded it 96 %. Therefore, we rank the series one place higher than Tekken: Bloodline, even if the user score itself is the same.
Most users praise the story, the fights, and the dialogues, although some are annoyed by the presence of the character Mary, who appears to be overpowered. Others found the series too far removed from the source material. Regardless of how divided the audience is, one thing is certain: Devil May Cry was in the top 10 of the most-watched series on Netflix for two weeks after its release and achieved a total of 85.4 million watched hours (via whats-on-netflix.com).
