Tekken: Bloodline is similar to Splinter Cell: Deathwatch a miniseries with six episodes. It was released in 2022 and has convinced fans of the video game template many times over. The story is based on that of Tekken 3 and revolves around Jin Kazama, who was introduced to his family’s pacifist fighting techniques at an early age by his mother.
After her death at the hands of the demon Ogre, Jin wants to take revenge and goes to his grandfather, who further trains him and prepares him for offensive combat. At the King of Iron Fist Tournament, Jin ultimately wants to confront the demon.
While critics on Rotten Tomatoes give it only 40 %, users are significantly more positive. The series is praised by most as a successful adaptation of Tekken 3, and the battles and their animations convince as well. However, the pacing and the abrupt ending are criticized.
