What is Roblox? Roblox is basically a construction kit. Players create their own games in a simple and easy way and share them with the community. Roblox is based similarly to Minecraft on a block system, from which levels can be assembled. Each player also creates a character that can be customized. With this figure, they are then in the games.
How complicated is the game? Building your own games is relatively straightforward: With some familiarization, anyone can quickly create something.
In the games, Roblox controls similarly to other third-person multiplayer titles. Anyone who has played Fortnite or Minecraft will feel right at home.
For which age group is Roblox suitable? This question is not easy to answer. The building aspect can be mastered by younger children from 6 years old.
The available games, however, target a broader audience. There are certainly titles intended for younger players. However, there are also horror games available that are better suited for older players. Parents should monitor what the little ones are playing. The game also encourages spending money for the in-game currency Robux. Caregivers should pay attention to this as well.
How is social interaction in the game? Roblox has a community that parents should keep an eye on regarding whom their children communicate with. Insults and swearing are quite common in forums or chats. It’s best to play only with friends, people you really know.
